“Right to Repair” (R2R) is a highly relevant and timely topic, with significant implications in the electronics and home appliance sectors. Ever since 2024 it has also been applied to the automotive industry.
Today, F.lli Mauri S.p.A. is already active and well established in the RTA/DIY market, where the implementation of this regulation represents a major opportunity for manufacturers of special fasteners.
Through this directive, the EU is promoting eco-friendly design, with durability and repairability among its key requirements.
From this perspective, the design of automotive lighting systems is evolving from closed, non-serviceable units to modular solutions focused on repairability, in line with the new European regulatory framework on the Right to Repair. This framework is integrated with regulations such as Eco-design and ELV (End of Life Vehicles), reinforcing the principle of sustainable design.
Supplying our international customers with repair kits to support maintenance and/or component replacement processes is already an established reality within F.lli Mauri S.p.A.
